Feedfetcher is still polling as if nothing happened

Would someone please turn out the lights at Google Reader? If it's truly dead, let it die.

This is the situation right now, with a log file that rolled over Sunday morning:

$ grep Feedfetcher-Google access_log | wc -l
171

It keeps checking in just like nothing has happened. It even still declares the same number of subscribers even though I imagine none of them actually exist in any tangible form any more.

Why keep grabbing content if you're not going to share it with others, particularly when you went to the trouble of booting them off?
