New certificate for https access

TLS is a nice thing to have. It's worth $20-30 every year to make sure I have a way to check mail and do things like that without sending stuff in the clear. There was one small problem, though: that $20-30 was going to Go Daddy. Well, not any more.

I am happy to announce that my rachelbythebay.com certificate is now coming from a different CA and they won't be getting any more of my money. If you are running some kind of browser extension (like Certificate Patrol) which pins certs to domains and you got a warning earlier today, this is why!

The new SHA-1 fingerprint is: 6B:C7:B3:FD:53:C1:B6:C0:EA:87:DE:6D:35:41:6A:00:40:F7:B2:CF.

You'll just have to trust that this is really me and not some evil person in-between.
